Hopefully by now you've had a chance to read about what HOME intends to do for the professional theater community. It can happen, but we need your help. We need to raise money to secure a permanent space and to transform it into the haven that will change what it means to have a career in professional theater forever. Grants can be found at Foundations, Corporations and various levels of Government, but in order to apply for them, we need to show that we have the support of our community. Unfortunately, the only support that counts in this way is in the form of the almighty dollar. Our short term goal is to raise $24,000 .
At the link below, you can make a donation with a credit or debit card through our fiscal sponsor ( Fractured Atlas). HOME is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions in behalf of HOME may be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Or you can mail a check or money order to HOME Workshops, c/o Kaunitz, 1805 Murray Street #3, Whitestone, NY 11357. Checks must be made out to Fractured Atlas. Please write "in behalf of HOME" on the memo line in the bottom left-hand corner of the check. |

Get your friends and family to help.

| Most of us have friends, family, co-workers and neighbors who support our careers in various ways, but probably don't have a really clear idea of what our day-to-day struggles are. Do they know how hard you work to juggle and balance your career goals with your financial responsibilities? They might have a better idea if they read about HOME's mission. Also, many companies have matching grants programs. This means that if your friend, mom or temp job supervisor was interested in making a donation, if they submit it through their company, the company will match the donation and HOME will get twice as much. Many people and companies are constantly looking for opportunities to donate money in order to maximize their tax benefits. (To better understand how this applies to you, please see your accountant or tax specialist.) This is a great way for people to support you when they don't have the ability to come out to see your work too. So tell them about HOME, send them to the website, or bring them to an event! |

In order to provide the best services to our community, we need to know specifically what you need. One way you can help is to encourage friends to visit the "How we can we help you?" page and take our polls. The answers are completely annonymous and the feedback helps us plan better.
HOME is also looking for a group of volunteers who are aggressively auditioning to help us with a survey. We need diversity type-wise to ensure that we are collecting answers from ALL theater professionals, not just tall blond tap dancers- but also tall blond tap dancers.
